I would say, even though Paris fashion week is amazing
many designers there tend to create such dreams and fantasies
that the garments are completely unpractical

but where the heck am I going to wear a silk gown to?

I know exactly what you mean about designer clothes... very often the aesthetics of the piece take precedence over wearability. Not that I mind, necessarily, because it gives me something pretty to look at, but I also love designers such as the ones you listed that can create something both practical and beautiful.
The colors in the Whyred ensemble are sooooo amazing.
